You might think I'm crazy...

and you are probably right, but I have decided to go back to college! Ahhhh! I can't even believe I'm saying this but it's true. My crazy hormonal pregnant self just up and enrolled at Scottsdale Community College starting in August. I have decided to pursue a career in nursing. We will see how it goes. I know it's going to be hard and probably take me forever but I just have this feeling that it will be worth it! Wish me luck!

First Haircut

After 2 years of not cutting Kennedy's mullet style hair we decided she was due for a change. It also helped that we now have a hair stylist living in our home. Thanks Jenna!
So here she is before, scraggly hair and all!
Aunt Jenna, very serious about this 1st haircut. Kennedy did a great job but I still had to hold her head still.
Daddy Jake was so excited. He has been wanting to do away with the mullet for a while. I just had to make sure it could at least do a pony-tail first.
Almost done, still holding her head. Thanks Audrey for being the on-hand photographer.
AFTER! All cleaned up and ready to go! Plus she got an M&M for being so good! :)
THANKS JENNA! Yesterday Kennedy took a napkin and put it up to her chest like an apron and asked me if I needed a haircut. I better not catch her with scissors cutting her own hair!

Audrey's Lace Case

My friend Audrey started her own shop on Etsy and it is so cute! It's full of vintage looking earing, rings, hair clips, and other cute items. Check it out! This is one of my favorite things on there right now. If you click on the above button it will take you straight to her store. CHECK IT OUT!

The Home Tour

After 3 LONG weeks we finally have everything settled in our new home. I took pictures of pretty much every room so there are a lot! Enjoy!
My cute welcome mat. The color green in the theme in this house and it starts at the door. Plus Kennedy's toes.
Living room plus Jesse's back. :)
Small sitting area. Bad lighting cuz I didn't feel like opening up the blinds :)
Plasma up and mounted! Perfect size!
Finally a table!
2nd living room. Please excuse Kennedy. She decided she needed to be in every picture.
Kitchen, yes we know it's outdated! We did the best we could with it!
The MASTER bedroom! Finally we have bedding that matches and fits!!! Only took us 3 1/2 years.
Our beautifully carpeted bathroom, also outdated but what can you do?
Kennedy's room with cute light green walls.
Jenna's room!
Kennedy and Jenna's bathroom. This is pretty much the only room that's not green. haha
The pool! Perfect size to cool off. Now all we need is some patio furniture. That might take us a couple months of saving.
My favorite part of all, the dogs are now OUTDOOR DOGS! Yay! And they love it! The home has built-in outside misters that keep them cool even when its hot out. YAY!!!
We are enjoying having more space and living in a neighborhood where we can walk and go to the golf course to hit a couple of balls. The worst part, we already received our first electric bill, $480 for the first 18 days!!! Looks like we have somethings to work out still. Maybe convincing the homeowners to replace the 25 year old A/C units! :) Hope you liked the tour! COME VISIT SOON!

Dance, dance, dance...

When I found out we were moving to Scottsdale I was so excited because I knew there would be a lot more activities that I could do with Kennedy. Well I found a super cute dance camp at a dance studio close by. She started last week and goes 2 days a week for 2 hours! I have 4 hours to myself every week! It's kind of crazy! :) So far she LOVESSSS it!
This is the face she made when I said, "just do a normal smile."
Stretching and practicing for her dance class. Yes, her skirt is just a tad big.
My little ballerina! I'm sure there will be many more pictures to come. Since it's a camp they eat snacks, color, and play with things as well as dance. She already came home with a huge blue marker stain on her new leotard! Good thing I got it at Walmart! I hope to have a video this week of their Lion King dance.

Summertime

It's already over 100 degrees here everyday so we have been trying everything just to stay cool. Yesterday some friends and their kids met up at Tempe Beach Park to let the kids run around and play in the water. It was our first time and we had a blast! We will be back for sure!
Kennedy loved the "big kid" water slide!
This was her modeling photo shoot. She kept wanting me to take pictures of her! :)
Playing in the water! So much fun! I'm glad I put her in her bright green bathing suit cuz she was all over the place but I could always find her! :)

Aunt Nenna is here & Packing!

Jake's sister, Jenna, got in this week and is going to be living with us for a while! We are so excited to have her here! She didn't want me to take her picture but OH WELL!
We started packing today. We get the keys to our new place on May 28th! Not too much longer! While we were packing we found a surprise in one of our boxes...
A little Kennedy girl!
Here is a picture of our soon to be home! Yay a garage with some grass! It's going to be a big change but I think it's all going to work out just fine! More pictures to come once we are all settled in!

Georgia Trip ~ Brian & Erinn's Wedding

We had an awesome and busy trip to Georgia for my sister Erinn's wedding! It was so good to all be together for one last time in Georgia before my parents and some siblings move out to Utah.
Kennedy and her cousin Athena! Now in most situations Kennedy is usually the one bullying other kids around, but not when it comes to Athena. From the moment we got there Athena was trying to tackle her like a linebacker! They were so cute together!
We were able to get in a shopping trip to the mall where Kennedy found a choo-choo train! She loved it and rode it 3 times! Well that was only after our rental car would not unlock?!?! We had to spend an extra hour and a half at the mall waiting for someone to come unlock it! What a mess!
Erinn's bridal shower was a success! She is soooooo beautiful! I love my sister!
Jenna and Jacki even made it out! Here we are making wedding dresses out of toilet paper! Sooo much fun!
Andy's wife, Kristi, and I didn't do so well! We get an A for effort I think!
My brother, Erik's, band had a show on Friday night so we were all able to attend that! They were soooo awesome. I'm so impressed with him. All the members of the band are still in high school but soooo talented! It was fun to have all of the oldest 5 children together with my mommy for a night! (Left to Right: Erik, Erinn, Mommy, Andy, Me, and Ryan)
Wedding time! Kennedy thought it was her job to hold Erinn's train for the wedding! Erinn looked soooooo beautiful!
Love this picture! Still holding the train and notice her new yellow salt water sandals! Love them! Thanks Sharon for the hook up!
Me and my little girl!! She was so cute that night! I love the Georgia humidity for one thing only, it makes Kennedy's hair soooo curly and cute!
Jake and Kennedy! Is he choking her? haha I can't tell! They don't look alike at all either! haha
Jacki, Jordyn, and Brooks made it out for the wedding. Jenna was somewhere around there too, probably bustin a move on the dance floor! So good to see all of them!
Kennedy dancing with her Uncle Matthew! I could die looking at this picture! It is so cute! Kennedy was out on the dance floor all night showing off her moves.
This one's for you Tammey and Jonna! Kennedy loving on Meghan. Is she my child or Meghan's? I think you could definitely confuse her to be Meghan's!
Grandma and Grandpa with their grand-babies all dancing on the dance floor! Notice the jackets. It got pretty cold that night! At least it wasn't pouring down rain!
Somehow I didn't get any pictures of Erinn and Brian together except for them driving away! They were soooo cute and it was such a wonderful wedding! Love you guys so much! Well now the party is over and it's back to real life in AZ. Jenna is moving in with us tomorrow and we are also moving to Scottsdale next week! Lots to do! Will keep you posted!

2 years and 3 days old and already terrible!

Who ever decided it was a good idea to be pregnant and have a 2 year old was WRONG! haha Kennedy has really been trying my patience lately. Everything we do has become a struggle. I have found myself having to have to bribe her to get anything done! And still that doesn't always work. Well I let her play with some washable markers today(thank goodness they were washable) and this is what happened after about 5 minutes of playing with them. She decided to bite off the tip of the blue one. Of course, why wouldn't you want to bite off a marker!?!?!?
As my mother would say, "its a good thing I love you!"

Kennedy's 2nd Birthday Party

We had a pool party to celebrate Kennedy's 2nd birthday and invited a few friends to join us. Here is Kennedy kissing her best friend Audrey.
Audrey got her this adorable little doll that she loves. You can tell by her face she was so excited!
My Aunt Robin and cousin's Haley and Nicholas came! :)
The prego girls, Joccelyn & Kristi!
Joccelyn, this one is for you! Enjoy!
Kennedy opening all of her fun gifts! Thank you!

2nd Birthday Day!

This is a day in the life of the 2 year old birthday girl, Kennedy Jean Sherrill! She started off the day just relaxing and enjoying watching Dora, Diego, and Backyardigans.
Then we had some friends over to swim for a couple of hours. Here is the birthday girl with her star sunglasses!
When Daddy came home from work he brought his little princess a birthday balloon. It just happened to be her favorite Backyardigans!
I love this picture! I can't believe my little girl is 2 :(
For dinner we took Kennedy to her favorite place, Chipotle, for rice and beans!
Daddy made her a special strawberry birthday cake with about 20 sparkling candles! haha yes we know she is only 2! Please excuse the hard working mother without make up or her hair done!
Yummy cake!
Last she got to open up presents! 2 new pairs of pajamas! haha I'm such a nice mother! So what if I was already planning on getting them for her but just decided to wrap them up so I didn't have to buy her something else! :)
Here she is with Papa and wearing her new jammies!
Happy 2nd Birthday Kennedy! We love you so much!

Kennedy was not excited at all either, haha
Kennedy is turning 2 this week and my friend Dani surprised us and sent us an adorable little outfit! Kennedy LOVED it! It included a dancing skirt and flip flops, both of her favorite things!

Once again, not excited at all! haha :)

Our Little Star

Kennedy has been really expressing her talents lately. Especially on 2 nights of the week...Monday is Dancing with the Stars where she dances along with professionals, and then Tuesday is American Idol where she attempts to sing as well. She has been soooo fun to watch. The first video is on a Dancing with the Stars night.

This second video is Kennedy singing all of her favorite songs along with the help of her Gammy Net(Jake's Mom).

Last minute trip to Mexico

Last week we decided last minute to drive down to Rocky Point, Mexico with our friends, The Coopers, for the weekend. Then Jenna and Jeanette called us and said they wanted to come too. So they flew down from San Fran and we all drove down together in Andy's dad's SUV. It was a tight fit but we had so much fun. Andy's family owns an awesome condo just on the water. Thanks guys for taking us!
Here is Jake holding his 2 babies, Kennedy and Andy.
The girls on the balcony, Jeanette, Kennedy, Me, Audrey, and Jenna.
Jake and his little girl :)
The water was too cold to really go swimming in but that didn't stop Jake and Kennedy from testing it out. They have an awesome pool there so we were still able to enjoy the sun and relax a lot!

And the gender is...

A BOY!
We found out that our little bun in the oven in going to be a boy! Jake knew it all along. From the day we found out we were pregnant he was calling it a he. At our appointment the other morning I went in with a very open mind and prepared for whatever the doctor told us. After looking at the screen for a while I came to the conclusion that it was a girl. The doctor then asked, "would you like to know the sex?" I said, "I think we can already tell what it is." Then he proceeded to tell us that it was a boy. So needless to say, our little boy at this point is not as well endowed as his father would like to claim. Regardless we are still so excited! Now deciding on a name is going to be a challenge. Hopefully by September 23rd we can come to some type of agreement. Stay tuned!

Something to blog about...Hawaii!

Finally we have something fun to blog about. This past week we spent in Kauai! Jake's mom and brother live there so we were able to vacation and visit family at the same time, PERFECT! Our friends, The Stratton Family, tagged along and we had a great time.
On the plane flying to Hawaii, Kennedy was not excited at all. She had no idea how much fun she was going to have!
Waiting for luggage at the airport after our 6 hour flight. Let us out of here!!! (Kennedy, right, Anastasia, left)
First stop, PUKA DOG! We went straight from the airport to get our favorite hot dogs! They are pretty much amazing and I could really eat them every day.
Beach time! Little did we know that 2 days in a row Kennedy got sun screen in her eyes and did not really want to play outside! Poor baby! Please excuse my camera, I must of had it on a bad setting for outside!
The girls at the pool, their favorite spot! The arm floaties were life savers for the week. They had a blast!
This was the best part of the trip. The girls would just go up and down this slide 20 times everyday! People could not believe that these 20 month old girls could do this on their own! They LOVED it though. "More slides!"
video
Happy Little Girl!
The photo shoot: We found these cute little outfits that we could not pass up!
Kennedy was not very cooperative but she looked cute!
Dancing in the grass. Naturals!
Uncle Jesse! Kennedy LOVES her Uncle Jesse! If Jeanette would come over without Jesse she would say, "Where Jesse go?" haha
Kennedy with her Gammy! She was such a big help! Thanks Jeanette for everything!
There was a big coi fish pond at our resort and we happened to get outside one morning just in time to feed the fish!
We did a lot of drive and sightseeing and the girls were so good hanging out in the car. Here is Kennedy with "two binkies" and upside down sunglasses.
Kennedy and Daddy! We had soooooo much fun and loved just spending the week together relaxing! We will be back again soon, maybe even to stay! haha jk! I wish!

Beans & Rice

Kennedy has found her favorite food...black beans and rice! Who would have known? It's kind of crazy but she really asks for them all the time. Her favorite thing is going to Chipotle and getting just plain rice and beans! Well here she is eating black beans at a restaurant, and you can tell she isn't enjoying them at all! haha

Yay! Rice and Beans! (that's what she is saying here)

My friend Natalie invited Kennedy and I to go to a Cubs spring training game. We sat front row and had so much fun. This is the only picture I took, but Kennedy had so much fun. Don't worry I put SPF50 on her about 10 times! No sun burn! THANKS NATALIE!

11 Weeks Pregnant

For those of you who don't already know, we're pregnant! :) That has contributed to my lack of blogging. SORRY! We are 11 weeks today which puts us due on September 23rd. We are all so excited! Jake's pulling for a boy but Kennedy is telling me it's a girl. We should know its sex the beginning of next month! We will keep you all posted!
