Busy Week, Random Pictures

This past week has been so busy but so fun. We had Jacob's baby blessing and lots of family in town to celebrate. Somehow I didn't end up with very many pictures, sorry! Here is everyone at the church on the day of the blessing (L to R: My daddy, Joel, Michael, Jeanette, Me, Jacob, Jake, Kennedy, Jordyn, Jim, Jacki, & Brooks). Thank you for coming to visit! We loved having everyone here!
Here is Kennedy showing off some moves and entertaining us all. I'm so sad I didn't take any pictures of her and Jordyn. They were so cute together. I'm sure Jacki will have some good ones though. The Sherrill family with my daddy! Thanks Dad for coming! We loved spending time with you and your grand-kids love you so much!
Jacob has had a couple of play-dates in the past week. There were about 8 people all pregnant at the same time here so there are lots of new babies! First picture: Jacob and Eden Hill. They got along so well. She even spit up on his blanket :)
The 3 amigos! Jacob, Lauren Cooper, and Joey Jones. The fight is on to see who will end up with Lauren in the end. They have a few years to work that out though.
My 3 loves! This picture makes me so happy! This is my favorite time of day, when everyone has just woken up and are laying in bed all together! I am the luckiest woman in the world!

Fair Skinned Dancer At The Fair

Kennedy had her first dance performance today. She did so great! They got to perform at the Arizona State Fair and she had such a blast. Below you can see the video of her dancing. She is the pale white girl, 2nd in on the right. :) After she got off the stage she said, "I want to do it again!"
video
So smiley in her dance outfit! We love her so much!

Here she is with her 2 teachers (they are twins) and 2 other girls in her class.

Cute little Kennedy girl! In case you can't already tell, we love her sooooo much!

1 Month Old

Jacob is now 1 month old and has already decided he wants to be a basketball player just like his daddy! :) I bought these super cute basketball shorts for him as soon as I found out I was having a boy. He is growing so much and looking more and more like Jake everyday! He has long skinny legs like his daddy as well! WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

My Wonderful Husband

Just wanted to take a moment and tell my hubby how much I love him! Jake has been wonderful these past couple of weeks. It's been a big adjustment going from 1 child to 2. The worst part has been the night time feedings for Jacob and then having to still have to wake up with Kennedy. I have been quite tired and grouchy to say the least! Jake has been soooooo good at taking Kennedy to dance and making sure I'm able to get some rest. Thanks Babe for all you've done! I LOVE YOU!

Crazy 2 Weeks!

The first 2 weeks of this baby's life have been a bit crazy to say the least, but this little guy has been such an angel through it all! I can't believe how fast he is growing. We just love him so much!
2 days after he was born my mom drove down from Utah to help me out. She had to bring my 5 year old brother, Matthew, with her. This was the beginning of our adventure! Kennedy being 2 and not knowing how to share sure had a hard time learning how to handle her uncle! This picture below was one of the few moments they weren't fighting over the same thing. Glad I had 2 tutus! My sister Erinn also came out to help and brought her 18 month old daughter, Athena. Here they were, their 1st morning all together. About the only calm moment the whole time everyone was together :) But they were so cute just watching their cartoons!
This is what things usually looked like. Fighting over Grandma's purse!
We got out of the house and spent the morning at the train park near our home. Here are Auntie Erinn, Athena, Grandma, and Kennedy all on the train.
Grandma with her grand-kids and Matthew! Thanks for all your help mom!
Me and my little sis! One evening we took all the kids to Chick-fil-a and let them go crazy in the playplace! It was perfect and we(the mothers) were able to just sit and talk.
3 car-seats in the back! It was great to see everyone, and if I hadn't just had a baby I probably would have been a lot more fun! Thanks Erinn and Mom for all of your help!
Also, if you were wondering how Jake handled it all, he didn't. haha He went out of town for work! It was probably a very good thing that he did too! :)

He's arrived!

Jacob has finally arrived and he is amazing! We are so excited to have our new little addition to our family.
After a very long day at the hospital I finally got to the point where it was time to push! You can tell I was happy about that.
3 pushes later and out he came! He was so perfect weighing 7lbs 4oz and 20 inches long.
Emotional but so proud Daddy! :) Jake was amazing and now has his perfect little boy. THANKS BABE FOR ALL YOUR HELP! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
We got to leave the hospital the next day so here is little Jacob in his car seat when we got home! I have to say I think he is the cutest little boy ever!
Our first morning home together and they are already laying in bed, with their binkies, watching their shows together! I love them both so much. Kennedy is so excited to have a little brother!

Almost Done...

We are getting into the home stretch of this pregnancy and I'm getting pretty ready and uncomfortable enough to want to have a newborn again. Only 4 days left till my due date but based on my last doctors visit he doesn't seem too eager to come out. Jake is planning to go on a business trip on the 30th so the doctor has me scheduled to be induced on the 28th just in case he doesn't come on his own before then! Well just wanted to update everyone on where we are! Feel free to pray that he comes sooner rather than later for my sake!!! :)

Jake plays basketball every Tuesday and Kennedy LOVES to go and watch him. This week we got there a little early so she was able to play with him.
NOTE: This video is not for the faint of heart.

3rd season and still going strong!

Football season has started again, and after much debate we purchased ASU season tickets. Our first game was last night and of course we had a blast! The first 3 pictures are of Kennedy over the last 3 years. She has grown up so much! :(
Season 1 ~ 2007
Season 2 ~ 2008
Season 3 ~ 2009
I can tell this is going to be a fun year. Kennedy had a blast watching the game and cheering!
Here she is really paying attention to the game while laying on Daddy's shoulder.
Also, our friends, The Strattons, purchased season tickets for the row behind us! It was fun to have them there.
The girls kept each other busy!
They insisted on hanging on this railing for a good majority of the game. Don't freak out, we watched them very closely! It was so much fun, and ASU beat Idaho State 50-3. WAY TO GO SUN DEVILS! Hopefully only 2 1/2 more weeks and Baby Jacob will be here and ready to go to the games as well. :)

Happy Birthday To My Hubby

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE! He's the big 29 today! This year I wanted to do something really special for him. He's been putting up with a pregnant wife and about to have a 2nd child so I wanted him to relax and have a really fun birthday. We started off the morning by going and picking up this Porsche for him to drive for the day. It turned out perfectly! I blindfolded him and got him out of the car just as the guy brought it out revving the engine. He was so surprised!
The 3 of us headed off to breakfast at Butterfield(they have amazing waffles). This was Kennedy in the backseat. She was having a BLAST!
I set up a round of golf for Jake at TPC Scottsdale, which is where they hold the PGA tour here in AZ. He has never played it before so I'm glad he will finally get to do that! Kennedy thought that she was going too.
Jake's friend, Chris, was gracious enough to take the day off of work to go with him. What a good friend! Here are the boys, driving off to the golf course in the Porsche with golf bags in the back. What a rough life they have! :)
I hope you have an awesome birthday, Babe! I love you so much and you deserve everything in the world, but a Porsche for the day will have to do for now! LOVE YOU!!!!

My Dream Home ~ Coronado Island

If someone ever asked me, if you could live anywhere, where would it be? I could never really give an answer. I could always find good and bad things about any place...that is until we went to San Diego. I fell in love with Coronado Island!! The picture below is of my dream house. Pretty much its small town America on a beautiful, sunny, and breezy island. All the streets are lined with cute cottages and beach homes like these! Only problem is to just buy a small place on the island starts at about $1million. We are currently taking donations!
It was a little overcast that day but I loved it! This is the view from the park looking out to the ocean. This little park is where they hold soccer and football practice. It was so cute to see the kids running home from practice! :)
Kennedy had the playground all to herself! She was happy! Behind the playground is the gate of the Naval Base there. Another plus....American pride EVERYWHERE! Can't beat that!
Finally, being able to run and play outside. I think we could get used to Coronado Island! :) Maybe one day! If you haven't been there you need to!

Summer Trip to SoCal

We started off our southern California trip by visit Jake's friend Ryan and his wife Jacki in Long Beach. We had so much fun with them. Some how I didn't take very many picture! She has some on her blog though! :) Here was the one day we went to the beach. Kennedy LOVED it. I don't think I ever want to go to the beach again. Sandy, hot, wet, not really my idea of fun when you are pregnant and have kids. I think I'm a pool girl. :) Kennedy looked super cute though. She ruined her cute swimsuit by covering herself in sand. Way to go Kennedy!
1st day in San Diego. Walking around the board-walk we found a bird-man who let Kennedy hold some birds. She loved it!
Watching the sunset. The weather was amazing! A much needed change from AZ.
We also made a stop at Sea World. The first day was pretty hot and crowded. Jake and was a trooper though! He just wanted his girls to be happy!
Kennedy and I waiting to watch the Shamu show. Once again, hot and crowded but still fun!
The view from our hotel room! It was amazing. We were about to ask if we could move in.
Kennedy loved it! She has a pretty tough life just relaxing in bed.
We made a 2nd trip back to Sea World, this time in the evening. MUCH BETTER IDEA! We had a blast and Kennedy got to ride a bunch of the rides. She was in heaven!
Yay for rides with Daddy! Prego Mommy wasn't allowed to ride :(
We had an awesome time and were so tempted to never come home. I love San Diego! :)

New Blue Shoes

We made our monthly trip to Last Chance the other night where Kennedy fell in love with these blue nike shoes. Since then she has not taken them off!

Even on Sunday she had to wear them to church. No cute little sandals for this girl! Just bright blue tennies here!

As I am laying in bed typing out this blog right now she is laying next to me with her pj's still on wearing her new blue shoes!
What am I gonna do with this crazy little girl? :) I LOVE HER! Best part about these shoes...if she doesn't completely wear them out, baby boy can wear them in 2 years too!

Best Book!

Somewhere between my trips to Utah and Georgia I caught strep throat so I have spent the last couple of days just laying in bed for the most part. It wasn't all a waste because I was able to read this amazing book, Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. If you have already read it then I'm sure you agree but if you haven't, you need to! It opened my eyes to a lot of things and made me so grateful for the country that I live in. Once I started it I really couldn't put it down! It's such an amazing and TRUE story.

Summer Trip to Utah

My brother Andy and his wife Kristi decided to drive down from Utah to visit us so we decided to hop a ride back with them and visit my mom and family. Here is Kennedy all set up and ready for the long drive.
First night there she attempted to hold Austin's snake. She was not a big fan.
Jake's Grandma had a stroke while we were in town so we stopped by Grandpa Jack's to make sure he was doing ok!
Kennedy and her Grandma eating Creamies. This was a daily event!
Loving that Grandma has an endless supply of these!
Messy Kennedy!
The big event was that Matthew broke both of the bones in his lower leg. Not fun! Poor guy has to be off of it for 2 months. Not an easy task for a 4 year old.
Me and the girls :) They are growing up so fast! Oh yeah and I'm pregnant in case you couldn't tell. haha
My Mommy! Love her and miss her so much!
We had so much fun. Their new home in Utah is so beautiful and I can't wait to Thanksgiving when everyone will be there!

You might think I'm crazy...

and you are probably right, but I have decided to go back to college! Ahhhh! I can't even believe I'm saying this but it's true. My crazy hormonal pregnant self just up and enrolled at Scottsdale Community College starting in August. I have decided to pursue a career in nursing. We will see how it goes. I know it's going to be hard and probably take me forever but I just have this feeling that it will be worth it! Wish me luck!

First Haircut

After 2 years of not cutting Kennedy's mullet style hair we decided she was due for a change. It also helped that we now have a hair stylist living in our home. Thanks Jenna!
So here she is before, scraggly hair and all!
Aunt Jenna, very serious about this 1st haircut. Kennedy did a great job but I still had to hold her head still.
Daddy Jake was so excited. He has been wanting to do away with the mullet for a while. I just had to make sure it could at least do a pony-tail first.
Almost done, still holding her head. Thanks Audrey for being the on-hand photographer.
AFTER! All cleaned up and ready to go! Plus she got an M&M for being so good! :)
THANKS JENNA! Yesterday Kennedy took a napkin and put it up to her chest like an apron and asked me if I needed a haircut. I better not catch her with scissors cutting her own hair!

The Home Tour

After 3 LONG weeks we finally have everything settled in our new home. I took pictures of pretty much every room so there are a lot! Enjoy!
My cute welcome mat. The color green in the theme in this house and it starts at the door. Plus Kennedy's toes.
Living room plus Jesse's back. :)
Small sitting area. Bad lighting cuz I didn't feel like opening up the blinds :)
Plasma up and mounted! Perfect size!
Finally a table!
2nd living room. Please excuse Kennedy. She decided she needed to be in every picture.
Kitchen, yes we know it's outdated! We did the best we could with it!
The MASTER bedroom! Finally we have bedding that matches and fits!!! Only took us 3 1/2 years.
Our beautifully carpeted bathroom, also outdated but what can you do?
Kennedy's room with cute light green walls.
Jenna's room!
Kennedy and Jenna's bathroom. This is pretty much the only room that's not green. haha
The pool! Perfect size to cool off. Now all we need is some patio furniture. That might take us a couple months of saving.
My favorite part of all, the dogs are now OUTDOOR DOGS! Yay! And they love it! The home has built-in outside misters that keep them cool even when its hot out. YAY!!!
We are enjoying having more space and living in a neighborhood where we can walk and go to the golf course to hit a couple of balls. The worst part, we already received our first electric bill, $480 for the first 18 days!!! Looks like we have somethings to work out still. Maybe convincing the homeowners to replace the 25 year old A/C units! :) Hope you liked the tour! COME VISIT SOON!
